La búsqueda puede comenzar en Littleroot, hablando con el NPC Professor Birch.

 Professor Birch: I've heard that a young boy named Max has seen the thief of Kyogre's egg, ask him for more informations.


Professor Birch te enviará a un niño, Max, que fue testigo del robo del Kyogre egg.

En cuanto a la primera misión, Max le pide que tenga toda la Pokémon iniciales de la región de Hoenn atrapado . Consiste en lo siguiente: Treecko, Torchic y Mudkip (no se le pedirá que se los entregue a Max ).

Inmediatamente después de ingresar, recibirá un mensaje del Profesor Birch . ¡Él le dice que el Equipo Aqua tiene el Orbe Rojo y dentro de 45 minutos, el Huevo Robado eclosionará en Kyogre !
